CES after school club fun

After School Clubs 2023-2024

Session 1 - Sept. 18 - Nov. 9 * Session 2 - Nov. 27 - Jan. 26 * Session 3 - Jan. 29 - March 29 * Session 4 - April 1 - June 7

  • All clubs are free and start after school.
  • Club placement is based on equity and inclusivity.
  • Parents/Guardians will receive email confirmation once club lists are finalized.
  • Students should sign up for no more than 3 clubs per session.
  • Students must be picked up by a parent/guardian or authorized caregiver.
  • PARK & Monomoy students will be walked to their program by a CES staff member.
  • Clubs are subject to cancellation if there are not enough participants.
  • Chorus and Violin clubs are considered year-long commitments.

Session 4 - 4/1/24 through 6/7/24

  • Deadline to sign up for session 4 is Tuesday, March 26
  • You will receive email confirmation upon acceptance into each club. 
  • Complete 1 registration form per child - paper form OR online sign up. 
  • Students are limited to a maximum of 3 clubs each. Club placement is based on equity and inclusivity.

Monday Clubs

Stay and Play

Of course you don’t want to go home yet! Stay at school just a little bit longer to enjoy some classic games and fun!

When: Mondays

Grade levels: K-1

Limit: 10 students

Location: Shark Center

Oodles of Doodles

Do you like to doodle? When you have free time do you like to color or draw? Bring your imagination and join Ms. Karen in the cafeteria for oodles of doodling and coloring fun!

When: Mondays 

Grade levels: K-4

Limit: 10 students

Ultimate Frisbee

It’s extreme. It’s awesome, and it’s ultimate. This club will teach the basics of the game of Ultimate Frisbee. No experience necessary, just an interest in having fun!

When: Mondays

Chess Club

Come learn the game of chess, improve your skills and have some fun! Chess strengthens decision-making, critical thinking and problem solving skills.

Crochet Club

Come learn the basics of the art of crochet! Slip knots, chain stitch, single, double, & triple crochet. These skills will unlock a whole new world of creation.

Tuesday Clubs

Amazing Art

This club is for students who want an extra dose of art with Ms. Kidd. You will explore all media: drawing, painting, sculpture and more!

When: Tuesdays

Make It and Take It Club

Come to the STEM & M room to design and create a solution to a silly problem. Can you create a marble slide with a few basic materials? Can you design a game where everyone wins?

When: Tuesdays

Limit: 10 engineers

SCRATCH and Minecraft Computer Coding 

Do you like Minecraft? Learn how to code and have a ton of fun using SCRATCH, the world's largest coding community created by MIT!

When: Tuesdays 

Grade levels: 2-4

Limit: 12 students

SHARK Talk: Morning Announcements

In this club, you will design and record video announcements for the entire school to view.  Must be comfortable on camera and willing to have FUN!

When: Tuesdays 

Grade level: 3-4

Indoor Soccer

Time for some football… I mean soccer! Students will practice dribbling, ball control and teamwork. All levels of experience are welcome.

CES Lego Masters

Are you a master of the Lego brick ready to unleash your lego skills? Teams of students will compete in weekly Lego building challenges that test their skills & creativity.

Walking & Talking 

This club will give your legs and your voices some leisurely exercise on a tour of some of the nearby beauty of Chatham, while engaging in healthy conversation.

Thursday Clubs

Gardening Club

Come dig in the dirt and grow beautiful things. Join Ms. Howell and Ms. Melanson for some gardening and garden themed activities.

When: Thursday

Paper Crafts Club

Join the Linnells in the wonderful world of paper crafts! We will make collages and tissue paper art. We will learn about paper quilling and much more!

CES Lego Masters

Country Line Dancing Club

Calling all cowboys and cowgirls! Get ready to chacha, strut, boogie and  hustle! Learn some sweet moves to some of the best country songs.

No-Cooking Cooking Club

Let’s get together and cook - without the heat! We will put together some recipes that don’t require an oven/stove, while we learn some basics of measurement, fractions and ratios.

Don’t Throw It Away Club

We need to save the environment, and what better way than to create costumes out of recycled materials. Costumes will be shown off at our very first Recyclables on Parade!

Friday Clubs

Silly Sculptures

Welcome to the wonderful world of 3D art. Students will use playdough, sculpey, model magic and more to create some cool, creative sculptures.

Paper Doll Club

Explore the fun art of paper doll making with Ms. Emery! We will cut, color and create beautiful outfits and accessories.

Outdoor Fun

Come join the new club at CES and learn how to play some outdoor games such as Disc Golf, kickball and some other surprise games as well!

Special Note about Chorus and Violin Clubs. Chorus and Violin are year-long commitments. If your child is already signed up for these clubs, he/she will continue them during session 2. If your child would NOT like to continue Chorus or Violin, please let Ms. Deb and Mr. Toppa know.
